Did obama shoot himself in the foot with his coal regulations?
The regulation has 4 years to take affect, and it's been studied very well and documented that this will save a lot of lives and reduce asthmatic cases. The nice thing many plants have already made most of the changes, so we're looking at the worst offenders, and the oldest most delapated plants. I've read some pretty outrageous estimates that somehow these regulations will cost coal companies 180 billion. That sounds like BS. But I'm sure some of the older dericlics will be closed versus take on the upgrades as we know its sometimes cheaper to build new than try to keep fixing a clunker when it's near death anyways.
