Why should you need an ID to drive a car, or fly on a plane but you shouldn't need one to vote in an election?

I know. It's amazing. The only reason that someone would oppose a person being required to show some proof that they are who they say they are in order to carry out one of our most sacred obligations as a citizen is if those objecting would prefer that they not have to. And you've got to ask yourself why.
