Did a majority of Germans believe in nazi idealisms during ww2?

I ask because my grandmother is German, and she emigrated to Brazil after ww2. I'm not asking if she was a nazi, I know she wasn't, but I still can't decide whether or not she believed in what Hitler said; he was, after all, a very influential speaker. What got me thinking was this video we saw in class today of large masses of ordinary people that participated in nazi ralies, so it has been in my mind if my grandmother was one of those brainwashed people. What do you think? Are there any others with a similar circumstance as me?
