Why did he kiss me on my forehead after practice?

So theres this cute guy and he always stares at me, compliments me, and gives me really close hugs. My friend thinks he likes me too because she says she catches him staring and smiling when Im not looking. After practice the team usually socializes and talks so he came up to me and pulled me in for a close swaying hug then kissed my forehead in front of 3 of my friends. It made me feel all warm & giddy inside. Why did he kiss me there and what did he mean? Thanks guys! =)
