Is school in Korea really difficult?

I've heard that the education in Korea is pretty bad. I can't tell you much about it, because whenever I visit, it's either during summer vacation, or I just choose not to go, so, I've never actually gone to school there. Korea is a great place to go, but I don't know if it's the best place to go to school. If school doesn't overwhelm you, then the Korean language might overwhelm you.
